Gnat T.1 XS100 at South Kensington, 21st January 2003; Mike Tighe

Retired to instructional use as 8561M, XS100 has had possibility the strangest experience in retirement. First of all her back end was replaced with that of XP532, and then after disposal the nose was removed and put on display at the Andrew Martin International interior design store in London SW3. As you can see it's a bit hemmed in by furniture, but definitely not for sale! As for the rear fuselage, well that's in storage at Fyfield near Ongar. XS100's nose has been paint-stripped and polished to perfection, and the cockpit is nearly 100% complete. The nose light works, and a small light has been added to the pitot probe mount too.
