Hunter F.58 N328AX at Cranfield, 16th August 1998; Damien Burke

J-4031 was built as an F.58 for the Swiss Air Force and was first flwon on 10th March 1959. She was delivered to Emmen on 17th April 1959 and entered service with 20 Sqn later that month. She flew with the Patrouille de Suisse aerobatic team and was a common sight in UK summer skies as a result. Retired in December 1994, she was acquired after retirement by the Old Flying Machine Company, registered as G-BWFR and flown to Duxford in June 1995. By 1997 she was based at RAF Scampton and in 2003 came under the ownership of Hawker Hunter Aviation there. J-4031 was later acquired by Classic Aviation Ltd and joined the Hunter Flying Club fleet at Exeter in July 2006. In March 2008 she was de-registered and exported to Canada. She then popped up again on the N register as N328AX
in August 2008, owned by Hunter Aviation International Inc. and is now operated by the Airborne Tactical Advantage Company.
