Canberra B.6(mod) WJ775 at Upwood, 23rd August 2009; Richard E Flagg

Delivered to the RAF in 1954, WJ775 was converted to a B.6(mod) in 1961 before retiring to ground instructional uses in 1974 at Swanton Morley, gaining the maintenance number 8581M.

In 1994 the airframe moved to Bodney Camp in Norfolk before she was sold on to a private collector. WJ775 was sadly scrapped, with the cockpit being transported to Upwood in early 2009. This was where the photo above was taken, showing that her paintwork was wearing away in some areas with her canopy starting to turn cloudy, which shows she has been kept outside for some time. Since then, the cockpit of WJ775 has been moved to the Farnborough area in 2015 and is still preserved in the area today.
