Canberra T.4 WJ880 at Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum, 26th August 2021; Damien Burke

WJ880 entered service with the RAF in March 1955 with 15 MU and in August of that year was assigned to 104 Squadron, 2nd Tactical Air Force in Germany at RAFG Gutersloh, and spent the majority of her service life serving in Germany. Put up for disposal in 1968, she was eventually scrapped in 1982, and the cockpit was acquired by the museum in the early 1990s.

Trailer mounted and used as a mobile display cockpit for over 25 years, travelling to airshows, school and village fairs and many other events, she has played host to many visitors climbing inside - sadly she's currently closed to visitors because of Covid.
