Fairey Gannet - Survivor N/A
Simulator N/A - Davidstow Airfield & Cornwall at War Museum, Davidstow, Cornwall
Gannet Simulator N/A at Davidstow Airfield & Cornwall at War Museum, 7th October 2022; Jake Wallace
Captioned as a Flight Simulator, this Gannet nose is from an AS.1 or AS.4, but its identity is unclear. Given the number of rivets and panels on it, would suggest it's likely to have been an airframe that was pulled from the production line at a very early stage.
The simulator was at Dunkeswell for several years before moving to Davidstow Airfield & Cornwall at War Museum, where it can be seen on display today undercover alongside a few other simulators. The museum also has a full size example XG831 on display in a separate building on site.
