Hawker Hunter - Survivor XG195
FGA.9 XG195 - Aeroventure, Lakeside and Leisure Complex, Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Hunter FGA.9 XG195 at Hemswell, June 25th 1999; Damien Burke
With the collapse of the Bomber County Museum at Hemswell, XG195 has sadly been scrapped, though the nose section was saved. The airframe was not in the best of conditions, lacking a nose wheel leg, main gear wheels, ejection seat and with a fast-fading paint scheme (representing XG193), so it is perhaps no surprise to see it go to scrap but sad all the same. Aeroventure are now restoring the cockpit, which was pretty much stripped and so is quite a big job!
