SEPECAT Jaguar - Survivor XX962 (9257M)
GR.1B XX962 - RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire
Jaguar GR.1B XX962 at RAF Coningsby, 4th September 2019; Alan Wilson
XX962 was built in 1975 and probably first took to the skies later that year.
The aircraft completed 37 or more missions in the Gulf War, and then retired from service in May 1998 to RAF Cranwell where it remained for a few years before moving on to RAF Cosford No.1 School of Technical Training in 2002.
After a handful of years at RAF Cosford, the aircraft was disposed of and got road moved to Pembrey Ranges early 2009 and was then sadly scrapped a decade later in 2019.
The nose section thankfully survived and was then moved to RAF Coningsby, possibly for some sort of training.
