It might not look like much now, but this Lightning F.1 cockpit section was once part of one of the development batches of F.1s.
Since it's retirement, XG331 has spent a lot of time moving around the country, including to the Jet Age Museum where it was briefly stored during the 1990's. However, the cockpit has since joined the Gloster Aviation Club, owned by Clive Davies at a private location. Since Clive got his hands on the cockpit, the interior has gone from nothing but an empty void to an almost complete interior!
