Incident details | Fuel line ruptured by fatigue failure of starboard engine 4th stage compressor disc. Engine disintegrated, escaping fuel exploded causing main fuel tanks to rupture and ignite also. Control runs damaged and crew incapacitated; aircraft rolled left and impacted the sea. |
