Supermarine Swift - Survivor VV106
Type 510/517 VV106 - Fleet Air Arm Museum, (stored), RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset
Type 510/517 VV106 at Fleet Air Arm Museum, 8th June 2017; Richard E Flagg
First up is a Swift ancestor, the type 510.
VV106 has survived, which is pretty much a miracle considering the fate of many such prototypes, but is presently in storage for the FAA Museum - the type 510 is basically a swept-wing Attacker, which is why the FAAM have it. It has been mostly re-assembled as you can see, and is a perfect demonstration of the links between the Attacker and the Swift.
