Canberra PR.7 WH773 at Gatwick Aviation Museum, 12th February 2011; Francis Wallace

WH773 made her first flight on August 16th 1953 before being delivered to the Royal Air Force a month later. After a successful career, the airframe was transferred to No.2331 ATC Sqn at RAF Wyton as 8696M. Once Wyton had finished with WH773, she was put up for disposal and was brought by the Gatwick Aviation Museum in 1990 for static display.

With the museum having to shrink the collection to make way for a larger hangar a few years back, WH773 was one of a handful of the museum's exhibits that were put up for sale. The airframe was sold to the RAF Laarbruch Museum, Germany in 2015 and was exported in early 2016.

Since her arrival, WH773 has been well looked after. She can be seen today wearing a canopy cover to protect the canopy from further damage but looks very smart with her shiny paint job! Although the airframe is on display, she is behind a large fence, making it tricky to get a decent photo of her.
