Hawker Hunter - Survivor XE656
F.6 XE656 - Auto und Technik Museum, Speyer, Germany
Hunter F.6 XE656 at Speyer, 29th June 2019; Phil Rawlings
XE656 first flew in 1956 and was delivered later that same year. It was then transferred to RAF Halton for the No.1 School of Technical Training and was then sold on to private hands in 1993. The airframe was then road moved to Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome in August 1998. It was at Bruntingthorpe where the aircraft received a repainted into this pseudo Black Arrows scheme (though the airframe was actually in the Blue Diamonds, not the Black Arrows!), it soon departed for Germany and is now displayed at the Auto und Technik Museum in Speyer.
