Hunter F.6 IF-65 at Chièvres, 27th September 2008; Roger Soupart

Delivered to 7 Squadron of the Belgian Air Force on 15th April 1958, IF-65 also served with 9 Squadron. By 1962 she was struck off charge with only 483 flying hours and spent some time in storage before being pole mounted in the mid 1960s, in front of the sports complex in the barracks at Bevingen (Brustem). By 1996 she had come back down off her pole and was in store at Kapellen for the Brussels Air Museum and during 2006 was restored by volunteers of 1 Wing Historical Centre at Beauvechain air force base, and repainted in her current scheme with the code 7J-B to represent the personal aircraft of Captain Robert "Bob" Corbeel, once 7 Squadron's Commanding Officer (though this aircraft never wore these markings in service). She has now been mounted on a roundabout near Chièvres air force base.
